For thousands of years, the blood of the virgin has been considered a liquid that can heal and can bring forth beauty, youth and happiness. From the sacred blood of the vestal virgins in ancient Rome, to medicaments containing virgin blood in the Middle Ages for treating leprosy and epilepsy, to virgin blood as a preparation for achieving youth and beauty in European folklore.

In June 2019, the Virgin World Tour visited The Industrial Palace in the Czech Republic at the Prague Quadrennial. Over the course of 10 days, for 100 hours in all, the visiting public in Prague could experience the figure of the virgin in a rotating coffin and be onlookers, every day, watching recurring tappings of the virgin's blood, tappings conducted by local nurses.

At the daily tappings at the Virgin World Tour in Prague, the blood, after being drawn from the virgin, was apportioned and put into necklaces, badges and key chains as auspicious artifacts for the visitors.

Each drop is unique and forms a pattern, a small sealed landscape.

The artifacts can be acquired in the shop.
